Diverse hypoteses at the time of establishing the origin of the name of Cambados exist. The Ruins of Santa Mariña, were formerly constructed parochial church in XII century, by mandate of López Sánchez de Ulloa, and today it shows its naked arches as ribs of ship that faces the action of time. They are declared National Monument from 1943.


There are innumerable other things to see in Cambados, as we can mention El Pazo of UlloaThe old Pazo of Bazán nowadays turned into Inn of Tourism, The Pazo of Torrado, The Parriochal Church, The Chapel of the mount of the Sheperdess, The house where Ramón Cabanillas borned today turned as Touris Office, the Mill of the Tides, The seat of Alfredo Brañas, the monument to the sculptor Asorey, etc., but what does not have to be missed is the first weekend of August is the Celebration of the Albariño.


Turning out tedious to detail the undeniable historical wealth of Cambados, we will conclude affirming that the charming beauty of this piece of Galicia was the cause of so old references, reason why, that in these times of means and possibilities for the holiday benefit can, they must approach up to here to enrich its travelling, cultural an spiritual experiences.
